Graphic facilitation offers an engaging and accessible method for organizing and presenting ideas, content, and concepts. To understand how graphic facilitation can contribute to knowledge construction and learning within an academic context, this article aims to reflect on how its use in academia serves as a didactic tool for knowledge production. The analysis was conducted within the framework of the Specialization Course in Rural Development and Family Farming (CEDRAF) between 2021 and 2023. This course is linked to the Gente do Campo Project in partnership with the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company (EMATER/RN) and the Foundation for the Development of Science, Technology, and Innovation of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (FUNCITERN), with its implementation carried out by the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN). The records made throughout the course disciplines were shared with colleagues and professors. After this exchange, the participants validated the graphic representation as an instrument/technique that helps recall and reflect on the topics covered. At the end of the course, a deeper focus on graphic facilitation was chosen, as the methodologies applied in the specialization were considered limited in terms of didactic and methodological resources. Thus, graphic facilitation was seen as a potential way to expand methodological resources and techniques capable of contributing to the teaching-learning process, particularly concerning topics related to family farming and rural development, which are the core focus areas of the course.
