Resumo

The study evaluated the agronomic performance of radish as a function of different amounts of organic fertilizers composed of substrate of carnauba straw (Copernicia prunifera) and silk flower (Calotropis procera). Carried out at the Rafael Fernandes Experimental Farm, linked to the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (UFERSA), the experiment was conducted in a complete randomized block design, with four treatments and four replications. The treatments consisted of four quantities 20, 40, 60 and 80 t ha⁻¹ of equal mixing between the fertilizers. In each block, a plot with carnauba straw, silk flower and bare soil was inserted. The radish cultivar planted was Crimson Gigante. The characteristics analyzed were plant height, number of leaves, root diameter, shoot fresh mass, total yield and vitamin C. For the characteristics root diameter and total yield, no equation was adjusted, with average values of 29.46mm and 3.46 t ha-¹. As for the characteristics plant height and number of leaves, there was an increase to the maximum point, then decreasing, suggesting that the increase in the availability of nutrients in the soil promoted greater vegetative development. The highest averages were 11.84 cm and 5 leaves, in the quantities of 54.20 and 34.72 t ha-¹, respectively. This result indicates that balanced amounts of fertilizers are ideal for radish growth. The correct formulation of organic fertilizers can significantly improve the agronomic performance and quality of radishes, making it a valuable tool for growers looking to maximize productivity and meet market demands for high-quality products.
