URBAN PLANNING AND SOCIAL VULNERABILITY IN PANDEMIC TIMES AT CASCAVEL/PR

Abstract

Urban planning is important for several aspects of cities, such as mobility and basic sanitation, and it must be viable and intelligent, to make life easier for the population, aiming for it to reach its objectives in multiple aspects. However, there are groups that are more affected by urban planning, especially when it is not feasible and presents difficulties to the population. Thus, the presented problem arises, namely, how urban planning influences the lives of people in situations of social vulnerability, especially comparing it in the recent pandemic moment and considering the planning of the municipality of Cascavel, Paraná. It is concluded that urban planning has an influence on people's lives, especially the most vulnerable groups and in the pandemic moment. It is also verified that the urban planning of Cascavel pays partial attention to vulnerable groups during the pandemic period. The method used was the analytical-deductive one, and the research was carried out based on a bibliographic review.
