Abstract

Advances in telecommunications have driven the development of new technologies, with emphasis on the implementation of 5G, which promises greater speed and lower latency in data transmission. Given this scenario, it is essential to evaluate the quality of signal reception in different environments. This study aims to measure and analyze electric fields in the 5G band in the metropolitan region in Mossoró, determining the signal power range and its adequacy to the quality standards established by regulatory bodies such as Anatel and complying with IEEE standards. The results contributed to understanding the efficiency of coverage and possible challenges in implementing this technology.
