Computational Analysis of the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) in Flexible Antennas for Wearable Devices in WBAN Technologies.
Abstract
The use of health monitoring sensors with wireless communication networks has been widely employed in medical and military fields. With the advent of wearable devices utilizing WBAN technology, it has become possible to perform real-time monitoring of users' health parameters. However, the spread of this technology raises concerns about the safety of human body exposure to electromagnetic fields generated by these devices, making it necessary to evaluate the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) to ensure that radiation levels are within the safe limits established by regulatory bodies. This study aims to verify the SAR using computational tools to analyze the specific absorption rate generated by a flexible antenna operating in WBAN with an ISM bandwidth, as well as to assess the impacts on antenna performance due to its application in wearable devices.
