Abstract

The campuses of UFERSA routinely exchange critical and sensitive information, necessitating efficient and agile communication systems. Radio links emerge as a viable solution for data transmission due to their practicality and applicability in cases where swift and efficient implementation of an information transmission system is required. Factors such as project complexity, terrain, distance, and weather conditions present significant challenges in designing radio links. Computational tools, such as the Radio Mobile® software, allow for a preliminary assessment of project execution. This study presents three proposed radio link designs between UFERSA Mossoró's East campus and UFERSA Caraúbas campus, utilizing Radio Mobile® to design, simulate, and analyze the feasibility of each link in light of the challenges posed by each proposal. The simulation analysis concluded that the link utilizing a repeater tower at Serra Mossoró provided the best results in terms of signal reception and overall project feasibility.
