Abstract

Cryptococcus neoformans is the etiologyc agent of the criptococosis, a cosmopolitan infectious disease that attacks man, and domestic and wild animals. This agent is frequently isolated of the pigeons and parrots excrements, possessing countless environmental sources. The infection happen for inhalation of spores and the disease manifests with more frequency in people and animals with low cellular immunity. The clinical signs can be divided in four main syndromes which can happen isolated or associated.
