Piracy and copyrights social function at digital hiperconnectivity

Abstract

This work involves issues about copyrights and fundamental rights of accessing culture at digital practices contexts and eventual violations of general rules for intelectual creations protection. The problem analised involves digital piracy practices and copyrights social functions, considering if this practices really damages the creators economic interests and if, in other side, it can collaborates with culture access. Aiming the objective of investigating literature about the proposed subject and numbers that may represent piracy practices, this analisis  of how digital practices interferes on accessing rights, the hypothesis worked is that practices that may configure piracy do not interfere badly at cultural industry profits and may be disregarded as a legal violation. Using bibliographic reviews about these issues and analyzing available numerical datas, it is intended to collaborate with discussions that reflects about copyrights at contemporary contexts.
