Abstract

The reflection loss parameter of electromagnetic (EM) absorbing materials is of great scientific interest, both for assessing performance and for practical applications in areas such as telecommunications, materials science, healthcare, and military and defense security. This parameter provides a quantitative measure of a material’s ability to attenuate incident electromagnetic waves. In laboratory settings, it is determined using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), which collects the necessary data to calculate reflection loss. This study aims to develop a web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) to support researchers in calculating and simulating the reflection loss of materials analyzed with a VNA. The proposed interface offers convenience, enables rapid simulations, and facilitates data interpretation through interactive and dynamic graphs. Its user-friendly design makes the process more intuitive and accessible to researchers involved in the development of EM absorbing materials. The results obtained through the GUI are validated using the commercial software FEKO, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the analyses performed by the proposed system.
